Care tips

Machine wash cold

Turn the garment inside out and place it in a mesh laundry bag. Use a mild liquid detergent made for silk or wool, then wash on a gentle cycle with cold water and a low spin.

Wash with similar fabrics

Wash with similar colors and lightweight garments, or wash separately. Avoid denim, heavy towels, and garments with hooks, clasps, or exposed zippers that could catch the silk.

Skip the bleach

Bleach can damage silk fibers and alter both the fabric and its color. Skip fabric softener too.

Do not wring

Gently press out excess water instead of twisting or wringing. This helps protect the silk fibers and preserve the garment’s drape.

Lay flat to dry

Lay the garment flat in its natural shape on a drying rack. Do not hang it while wet, as the weight of the water can stretch the fabric.

Pro tips

Wrinkles welcome

Most wrinkles release naturally with steam. Hang the garment in the bathroom during a hot shower or use a handheld steamer on low. For stubborn wrinkles, place the fully dry garment in the dryer for a few minutes on a low-heat fluff cycle.
