Momme measures the weight of silk per unit area. At 22 momme, the silk has more substance — it feels heavier and more stable against the body, less flimsy, and less likely to cling as heat builds through the night. If you'd like to understand the difference in more detail, we wrote a page on it: What momme actually means for how it feels
Silk is graded internationally from F (lowest) to 6A (highest). Grade 6A is the top classification — the longest, most uniform fibers with the highest tensile strength. Every Silxine set uses Grade 6A Mulberry Silk, independently certified to OEKO-TEX Standard 100 and tested free from over 1,000 harmful substances.
Yes. Every Silxine product is made from 100% Grade 6A Mulberry Silk, certified to OEKO-TEX Standard 100. The certificate is verifiable at oeko-tex.com.
Cotton absorbs moisture but is slow to release it — by the middle of the night, it can feel damp and heavy against your skin. Bamboo handles moisture better than cotton and has real cooling properties, but its surface texture creates more friction than silk. Silk moves moisture along the surface and releases it faster, and its naturally smooth protein structure means less friction against your skin as you move through the night. At 22 momme, you also get enough weight that the fabric stays in place rather than clinging or bunching.
Yes. Cold water, gentle cycle, inside a mesh laundry bag. No dry cleaning needed. We recommend a mild detergent — avoid bleach and fabric softener. Hang dry or tumble dry on the lowest heat setting.
Silk may feel slightly softer after the first wash — that's normal. At 22 momme, the fabric has enough weight to hold its shape and drape through repeated washing. We've tested our fabric through multiple machine wash cycles and it maintains its form. If you'd like to see the results, we have wash-test comparison photos on our 22 momme page.
Silk does wrinkle — that's true of any natural fiber. But at 22 momme, wrinkles are less pronounced than in thinner silk, and they tend to relax as the fabric warms against your body. If you prefer a smoother finish, a quick steam works well. We don't recommend high-heat ironing directly on silk.
Silk can be more sensitive to stains than cotton, especially oil-based ones. If something spills, blot gently — don't rub. Treat the spot with a mild detergent before washing. Avoid contact with skincare products or perfume before the fabric has time to dry on your skin, as these can leave marks on silk.
Relaxed fit — roomy enough to sleep in without restriction, structured enough that you don't need to change before the doorbell rings. We designed it to be comfortable across a range of body types, not just one sample size. If you're between sizes, we recommend sizing up for a more relaxed feel, or sizing down if you prefer a closer fit.
We're launching with S through XL (top and bottom sized independently, so you can mix-and-match). See the Size Guide on the product page for detailed measurements. Waitlist members will be notified first when the first drop is live.
We want you to be comfortable. If the fit isn't right, exchanges are straightforward — see our Shipping & Returns Policy for details.
It secures your place in Batch No. 1 — our first production run is limited by the amount of silk we can source for this weave. Your $15 will apply as credit toward your final order: $178 for the short-sleeve set, or $198 for the long-sleeve set. The remaining balance ($163 short / $183 long) is only charged when the first drop launches. We'll send you a link to complete your order right before Batch No. 1 ships.
Two things. First, a silk mesh laundry bag — included with your order at no extra cost. Second, a vote on what we drop next — you'll help choose the next colorway.
Yes. If you change your mind before launch, we'll refund your $15 in full. No questions, no process — just email us.
Only when the first drop launches and you complete your order. The $15 deposit is applied as credit toward your purchase. The remaining balance is $163 for the short-sleeve set ($178 total) or $183 for the long-sleeve set ($198 total). You're not charged anything else until you decide to buy.
We're preparing the first release now. We'll email waitlist members and deposit holders with exact timing before anyone else. We don't have a fixed date yet — we'd rather get it right than rush it.
