My relationship with silk began with a shirt I bought on a whim. I loved it, but still thought of it as something for the occasions that mattered. Then, during a long stretch of work in a hot, humid city, I wore it from an afternoon meeting through a family dinner. At the end of the day, I realized I had not thought about my skin once. I slept in it that night. My idea of silk changed.
I wanted to understand why. I began learning how silk is made, how momme changes its weight and drape, and what makes a fabric easier to return to often. Drawing on years of project management, I started developing a set of our own. The first proper samples went to women who had worn silk for years.
