Privacy Policy — Silxine
Privacy Policy
Last updated: May 9, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect through silxine.com (the “Site”), how we use it, who we share it with, and what choices you have. If anything is unclear, write to us.
1. Who We Are
Silxine is a brand of Winpac Advertising LLC, a California limited liability company located at 17701 Cowan, Suite 230, Irvine, CA 92614, USA. We are the data controller for personal information you share with us.
Contact: hello@silxine.com
2. What We Collect
2.1 What you give us
- Waitlist signup: your email, and the product variant you indicated interest in if you used a variant-specific link.
- Pre-launch deposit and orders: name, shipping and billing address, phone, email, and payment information (handled securely through Stripe via Shopify Payments — we never see your full card number).
- Customer service: anything you tell us by email, contact form, or chat.
- Marketing preferences: your subscription status and any preferences you share.
2.2 What we collect automatically
- Device and connection data: IP address, browser type, operating system, language.
- Usage data: pages viewed, time on page, referral source, search terms used on the Site.
- Approximate location, derived from IP (city or region level — no precise GPS).
- Cookies and similar technologies. See Section 5.
We do not knowingly collect special-category data (such as health or biometric information). We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16. See Section 8.
3. How We Use It
- Run the shop: process orders, deposits, returns, and customer service.
- Stay in touch: send waitlist updates, order confirmations, shipping notifications, and Batch No. 1 announcements through Klaviyo.
- Marketing (with your consent): occasional brand updates and product launches. Unsubscribe in any email.
- Measure how our ads work: when our Meta Pixel and similar tools are active, we measure conversions to understand what’s working — not to identify you personally.
- Improve the Site: understand how visitors use the Site so we can make it better.
- Prevent fraud and abuse: protect customers and the business.
- Comply with law: meet legal obligations and respond to lawful requests.
Where required (e.g., for visitors in the EU/UK), we rely on the following lawful bases: performance of contract (for orders), consent (for marketing and certain cookies), legitimate interests (for analytics and fraud prevention), and legal obligation (for compliance).
4. Who We Share With
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with the service providers that help us operate the shop:
| Service provider | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Shopify | E-commerce platform, hosting, order management |
| Stripe / Shopify Payments | Payment processing |
| Klaviyo | Email and SMS marketing, transactional messaging |
| Meta, TikTok, Google | Advertising and conversion measurement (when active) |
| Google Analytics | Site analytics |
| Cloudflare | Content delivery and security |
| Shipping carriers (USPS, UPS, FedEx, DHL) | Order delivery and tracking |
Each service provider processes your data only as needed for what we asked them to do, under their own privacy and security commitments.
We may also disclose information when required by law, to enforce our Terms, to prevent fraud, or as part of a business transaction (such as a merger or acquisition) — with notice where required.
5. Cookies and Tracking
This Site uses cookies and similar technologies for:
- Essential: shopping cart, authentication, security — required for the Site to work.
- Functional: remembering your preferences (language, currency).
- Analytics: measuring traffic and Site usage.
- Marketing: measuring ad performance and (where you’ve consented) delivering more relevant ads.
You can control cookies through your browser settings. Disabling certain cookies may limit Site features. We honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals as a request to opt out of sale or sharing for residents of jurisdictions that recognize it.
6. Your Rights and Choices
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- Access the information we have about you
- Correct anything that’s inaccurate
- Delete your information (subject to legal exceptions)
- Object to or restrict certain processing
- Withdraw consent at any time (where processing is based on consent)
- Receive a portable copy of your information
- Opt out of marketing (use the unsubscribe link in any email, or write to us)
To exercise any of these rights, email hello@silxine.com. We respond within 30 days. We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling a request.
California residents: under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), as amended by the CPRA, you have the rights above plus the right to opt out of sale or sharing for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not sell or share for that purpose. We will not discriminate against you for exercising any CCPA right.
EU, UK, and Swiss residents: the GDPR and equivalent laws apply. You may also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
7. Data Retention
We keep your information only as long as we need it:
- Waitlist email: until you unsubscribe.
- Order and return records: 7 years after the last transaction (tax and legal).
- Marketing preferences and unsubscribe records: indefinitely, to honor your choices.
- Analytics data: typically anonymized within 26 months.
- Customer service correspondence: 3 years.
8. Children
Silxine is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16 (or under 13 in the United States under COPPA). If you believe a child has provided us information, email hello@silxine.com and we’ll delete it.
9. Security
We protect your information with industry-standard safeguards: TLS encryption in transit, PCI-DSS–certified payment processing through Stripe, access controls on our side, and regular review of our security practices. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, but we work to maintain a high standard.
10. International Transfers
We use service providers based in multiple countries (primarily the United States, Canada, and the European Union). Your information may be transferred to and stored in those countries. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards — such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses — to protect your information during transfer.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a new “Last updated” date. For material changes, we will notify you by email (if we have your address) or by a prominent notice on the Site.
